- It is not yet known if the bout will be a title fight, a professional, or an exhibition match
After months of constant back and forth, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will finally go toe-to-toe inside the ring. The boxing match between the two heavy-hitters will reportedly take place on October 28 in Saudi Arabia, per ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.
More updates could be Underway
The report stated that it is not yet confirmed whether Fury vs. Ngannou will be an exhibition or a professional bout and if “The Gypsy King’s” heavyweight title will be at stake. Coppinger noted that WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman hasn’t provided further details at this point.
“Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will fight on Oct. 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sources told ESPN,” he tweeted. “WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman didn’t respond to a text message asking if Fury’s heavyweight title will be on the line. The rules and number of rounds are unclear at this time.”

More updates are expected to be underway but Matchroom boxing promoter Eddie Hearn previously said he heard Fury vs. Ngannou will be an exhibition match with no knockdowns.
The beast of both Worlds
Fury has been regarded by many as the greatest heavyweight boxer of his generation. He has never been defeated in his entire career and has defended his WBC belt via KO/TKO in his last four consecutive title fights.
On the other hand, Ngannou has gained notoriety as arguably the hardest-hitting heavyweight MMA fighter in the world, having collected 10 knockouts in his 12 wins in the UFC.
Ngannou became the UFC heavyweight champion after knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 260. He defended his title once against Cyril Gane at UFC 270 before eventually leaving the company earlier this year. He is now one of the biggest stars of PFL and is expected to make his MMA debut in the promotion next year.
