Ryan Garcia may have been linked to a super fight with the legendary Manny Pacquiao and a showdown with MMA superstar Conor McGregor but he was all business Saturday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
The unbeaten boxing star put on a show and stopped former champion Javier Fortuna in the sixth round via knockout.
Ryan gets hot
It was pretty much a steady back and forth in the first three rounds until Garcia finally found his rhythm in the fourth, landing a vicious left hook to the body that saw Fortuna taking a knee. Fortuna tried to recuperate by spitting out his mouthpiece but when he got up, Garcia landed a few more shots.

Garcia picked up where he left off in Round 5 as he mauled Fortuna with another nasty left hook, flooring his opponent for the second time. Fortuna was able to stand back up once again but heading into Round 6, his corner was already sensing danger, urging to do everything he can to avoid stoppage.

Getting the job done
In Round 6, Garcia won’t be denied as he finally ended the fight with a savage three-punch combination, topped by another devastating left hook to the head of Fortuna. This time, the former champ was unable to get back on his feet, prompting the referee to declare Garcia as winner via KO.

Garcia’s KO win over Fortuna saw him improving his undefeated record to 23-0, with 19 coming by way of knockout. Let’s see if this will be his launch pad to a world title fight.
