Joe Rogan Comments Andy Ruiz Jr’s Victory Over KO Expert Anthony Joshua

Last night, Andy Ruiz Jr. scored an impressive victory over knockout expert Anthony Joshua. He also took WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles.

While we’ve seen a tactical war in the first two rounds, Joshua’s left hook wobbled Ruiz in the third. Yet, “The Destroyer” miraculously recovered and bounced back with more aggression and sent Joshua to the canvas two more times. Dangerous counterpunch nearly finished the fight, but the Brit survived round three.

It seems Joshua didn’t recover from those brutal punches, as he looked significantly slower in the next three frames. Ruiz scored a quick knockdown at the beginning of the seventh round. Joshua got up, but “The Destroyer” rocked him hard again, and the referee stopped the contest.

It was an outstanding victory for Andy Ruiz Jr, as Joshua was a -2500 favorite to Ruiz’s +1100. Legendary comedian Joe Rogan commented Andy’s upset win on his Instagram account.

Nights like this are one of the many reasons why I love fights. Weird shit happens when people punch each other in the head. Most of the time when people ask me “who is going to win?” I say, “I don’t know. That’s why we have to see them fight.”

I say that because I’m being honest.

There are windows in time where you’re convinced you know the outcome. Where a king has lain waste to all who challenge his dominance, and you’re SURE he’s going to win a fight. Then, someone like @andy_destroyer13 comes along and flips the whole thing right on its fucking head and shocks the world.

I LOVE s**t like that.

Congrats to @andy_destroyer13 on an amazing victory.

What are your thoughts on Andy Ruiz Jr’s massive upset win? Did you expect such an outcome?
