Conor McGregor has reacted after UFC commentator Joe Rogan praised him for his lifestyle.

Rogan was speaking on his podcast last week when he heaped praise on McGregor for having nothing and becoming uber-successful. The Irishman was on welfare before making it big in the UFC and is now one of the richest athletes in the entire world.

“Why do you become successful in the first place? So you can live like a f*****g baller. That’s what Conor’s doing. He’s watching the Formula 1 while he’s eating breakfast at the back of his yacht… I want him to do what he wants to do and if Conor McGregor wants to buy diamonds and lay around in the sun, I’m all there for it. The guy earned every f*****g penny he got, I’m happy for him,” Rogan said on his podcast.

As Rogan says, McGregor earned everything he worked for through his fighting career and his great promoting skills so the UFC commentator is fine with the Irishman living lavishly now, despite people wanting to see him return.

After Joe Rogan’s comments, Conor McGregor saw them on social media and thanked the UFC commentator for his praise.

“Love you Joe!,” McGregor responded.

Conor McGregor’s potential return

Conor McGregor has not fought since July of 2021 when he broke his leg in the trilogy against Dustin Poirier, and as of right now, does not have his return fight booked.

McGregor has been linked to a return fight against Michael Chandler and the Irishman claimed the return fight would be on June 29, which is International Fight Week.

However, recently UFC CEO Dana White has come out and shut down talks of McGregor returning in June and instead said he’s aiming for the fall.

“There is no date,” White explained on The Pat McAfee show. “I’m hoping for the fall. I’m hoping we get it done in the fall.”

Conor McGregor is currently 22-6 as a pro and coming off back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier.
