Hasim Rahman Jr. Says Jake Paul Bit Off More Than He Can Chew, Fight Will Be A ‘Massacre’

Paul takes on his toughest test yet when he faces the 12-1 Rahman Jr. next month.

Hasim Rahman Jr. plans on beating up Jake Paul.

Paul faces Rahman Jr. in a boxing headliner taking place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on August 6.

In Rahman Jr., Paul will be facing his toughest test yet as the former is a professional boxer with more experience than anyone the YouTuber has faced thus far.

While Rahman Jr. usually competes at heavyweight, this eight-round fight will be at a 200-pound catchweight.

But don’t expect that to hinder Rahman Jr. who believes Paul and his team bit off more than they can chew when they agreed to fight him.

“It’s what I agreed to because I can do it,” Rahman Jr. said on Morning Kombat regarding the catchweight limit. “I know that they think that’s what’s going to win them the fight and I think they bit off a lot more than they can chew.

“It’s going to be a massacre. I’m going to beat up Jake Paul on August 6.”

Hasim Rahman Jr. Reminded Of Father’s Fight Against Lennox Lewis

As far as odds are concerned, despite his size advantage and experience, Rahman Jr. is surprisingly an underdog against Paul.

But to Rahman Jr., it’s all similar to when his father was the underdog and winded up knocking Lennox Lewis out to become the heavyweight champion.

While beating Paul wouldn’t be the same, it’s still the biggest opportunity in Rahman Jr.’s career so far as he plans on upsetting the odds just like his father.

“It’s a huge opportunity. It’s the biggest opportunity,” he added. “This fight eerily reminds me of my father vs. Lennox Lewis. He was the underdog and knocked him out. … I’m looking to follow in my father’s footsteps.

“Upset Jake Paul and knock him out. If I don’t knock him out, I’ll beat him up for eight rounds and be crowned victorious.”
