Nate Diaz has certainly not been fazed by any trash talk from Jake Paul.

Diaz is set to trade leather with Paul in a boxing match on August 5. The bout will be held inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. It will be Diaz’s first pro boxing match and Paul’s eighth.

While Diaz usually has no problem amping up his trash talk with the likes of Conor McGregor, he’s taken a far more relaxed approach going into the Paul fight. This much was evident when both Nate Diaz and Jake Paul appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Nate Diaz Unbothered By Jake Paul

On the show, Paul responded to Diaz watching footage of his past fights.

“I’m glad that he’s watched all my fights,” Paul said. “Study the film, man, because it’s gonna be a completely different fighter and you’re preparing for someone completely different. So, you’re making a big mistake by trying to look at any of my footage and compare me to anything that I’m going to be doing in that ring.”

When asked for a response to Paul’s comment, the Stockton native had the following to say:

“Yeah, that’s what people said,” Diaz said.

Diaz is a sizable underdog going into his bout with Paul. With that said, the former UFC title challenger certainly hasn’t shown any signs that he’s intimidated by the matchup. Diaz enlisted the help of former silver medalist Esquiva Falcão ahead of the Paul fight. Unfortunately for Diaz, Falcao went public about their sparring session and claimed he had to hold back because the Stockton native was gassing in round two.

A longtime teammate and friend of Diaz, Chris Avila, disputed Falcao’s claims. He even said that both he and Diaz got the better of Falcao during sparring. Avila also said Falcao had already left the gym when his comments went public.
