Former UFC and current BKFC fighter Mike Perry wants Logan Paul to know just how hard he hits.

Paul is scheduled to meet Dillon Danis in a boxing match on October 14. There’s a clause in the contract that states Danis will be fined $100,000 if he pulls out of the fight without a legit reason. Danis has built a reputation for ultimately not making the walk on fight night. As a result, Perry will serve as a backup opponent.

How Did Mike Perry Receive Backup Role?

MMAFighting’s Damon Martin recently spoke to Mike Perry and asked how he was able to snag the backup fighter role for such a big boxing match. “Platinum” believes the Paul brothers have had him on their radar for quite some time.

“To be honest with you, I think the Paul brothers have always had an eye on me,” Perry said. “They’re strong in the game. They watched the game for a while before they entered it and started their mission to be one of the top promoting teams out there with some of the top fights out there. Top as in money wise. Considering Jake Paul is only six or seven or eight fights into his professional career, the money he’s making that early in his career, other than really [Vasiliy] Lomachenko, no one has really done big money and he’s probably doing bigger money than Lomachenko did early on in his career.”

A Stern Warning For Logan Paul

Perry and Paul have been quite chummy towards each other, but the former UFC fighter doesn’t plan to take his foot off the gas if Danis can’t make the October 14 date. Perry warned Paul of his heavy hands.

“People haven’t really gotten to see me with the gloves on,” Perry said. “I know I do the bare knuckle boxing, cut people up pretty bad in there, put some damage on them. I feel like with the gloves I’m a probably punch him harder. We’re talking 10-ounce gloves, man. I’m throwing nuclear bombs with 10-ounce gloves on. So, I hit your head, you know that little emoji with the head blowing up? That’s what’s gonna happen.”

As far as whether or not Danis will actually show up, Perry claimed he’s already hearing excuses from the Bellator fighter. “Platinum” said at the end of the day, he doesn’t know Danis well and all he can do is prepare for the possibility of stepping in to fight Paul.
