Jake Paul Destroys Ryan Bourland via TKO in Opening Round – Serrano vs. Meinke Results (Highlights)

'The Problem Child' got his ninth career victory in boxing, earning his second-straight first-round knockout

Jake Paul returned to the boxing ring on Saturday night seeking his 9th career victory in the squared circle. 

Emanating from El Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, ‘The Problem Child’ squared off with Ryan Bourland in the Serrano vs. Meinke co-main event. Though he is far from a household name, Bourland is an accomplished pugilist with a solid 17-2 record. He is a former Golden Gloves champion and was a National Junior Olympian. However, Bourland has only fought once in the last six years. 

Paul entered the bout coming off a first-round KO against Andre August in December. 

Round 1

Jake Paul is active from the get-go, working his jab and splitting the jab of Bourland. Paul rips to the body. Paul goes back to the body with a big right hand. Bourland attempts to respond with a double jab before clinching. Paul goes up top and misses but hits the body once again. Paul jabs to the body. 1-2 combination from Paul lands. Paul wobbles Bourland with a big right hand. Bourland is circling the ring, but his legs are jelly. Bourland is not offering any offense in return as Paul continues to attack Bourland in the corner. 

Paul partially lands with the uppercut and tees off on Bourland in the corner. Bourland covers up, but offers nothing in return, forcing the referee to step in and call for the stoppage in the closing seconds of round one.
