Jake Paul revealed his conditions to take on Nate Diaz in the UFC.

Fan-favorite Nate Diaz has been shelved by the promotion since his last outing against Leon Edwards in June 2021. The Stockton native was reported to be on the last fight of his current deal. Many speculated that the UFC might be saving him for Conor McGregor’s return to the competition to put on a blockbuster third fight.

YouTube sensation Jake Paul is down to be Diaz’s last bout in the UFC but he has his conditions.

Jake Paul shares his offer to fight Nate Diaz in the UFC

In an interview with ESPN MMA, Jake Paul revealed his terms and conditions to compete with Nate Diaz in the UFC.

“I’ll be Nate Diaz’s last fight in the UFC, I’ll throw on the MMA gloves and fight him for free as long as Dana White increases the minimum fighter pay to $50k and gives them healthcare benefits”

According to Paul, mixed martial arts did not enjoy a year as successful as boxing. He trashed the lack of exciting fights this year and understands why some athletes might be looking for a way out.

“The UFC has been dead this whole entire year, I get why the fighters are trying to leave. Boxing’s outdone MMA this year. You haven’t heard about really any UFC fights and they’ve all been boring so I get why Nate Diaz is trying to get out. He’s trying to come and face the money man which is me.

Paul believes he’ll fight Diaz down the line

The stipulations he put forth were for the event to be under the UFC banner. ‘The Problem Child’ believes that he will fight Nate Diaz down the line in a likely exhibition boxing match.

“That was my deal. I think the Nate Diaz fight should happen. If it doesn’t happen with that offer, then it’ll probably happen one day in a boxing match and it makes a ton of sense.”

“It makes sense and Dana White, I guess agrees.”

UFC president Dana White had spoken about the potential matchup and was in agreement that Diaz should fight Paul. However, it’s highly improbable that White would agree to Paul’s conditions and make it happen in his promotion.
