Jake Paul is calling his fight with Tommy Fury a success despite the loss.
Jake Paul was handed his first professional loss on Sunday night by Tommy Fury. The bout was set up to see how Paul would fare against a professional boxer. So far in his boxing career, Paul has been matched up with former UFC fighters of other celebrities much like himself. Paul held his own in the fight but ultimately lost by split decision.
Now a couple of days removed from the bout, Paul is reflecting on the success of the event. He spoke with his brother Logan about the PPV numbers and what he would like to do next.
“I guess the silver lining is that the pay-per-views are off the f–king charts like, probably going to be the biggest fight of the year. It’s gonna be hard to contend with, maybe Garcia and Davis,” he said. “It’s probably coming in like, over half a million. So the business is great. Obviously, here’s still so many names out there for me to fight. I want to do the rematch with Tommy. But I think all of those fights are still there and still massive.”
Logan Paul wants to face Fury next if brother Jake does not get the immediate rematch
Paul seems focused on setting up a rematch to avenge his only loss. Paul is one of the most popular boxers in the world right now and always has fighters calling his name. He seems to have his pick to face anyone next and if he does not pick the rematch, brother Logan would be more than willing to step in.
“If you don’t I would like to handle that,” Logan said. “That was like my first instinct. That’s my little brother, f–k that. Inflatable arm-ass motherf–ker.”
One man who has been calling both Paul brother’s names of late is Nate Diaz. It seems that Diaz left the UFC to get his chance at making some big money in boxing. He has been teasing this bout with Jake for a while now but shifted focus to Logan after the loss to Fury.
