Jake Paul issued another callout of Nate Diaz after the latter officially became a free agent.
Diaz completed the final bout on his deal with the promotion against Tony Ferguson in Sep. at UFC 279. He was originally lined up to face Khamzat Chimaev but needed to shuffle opponents after ‘Borz’ missed weight. Diaz came out on top of his contest with Ferguson by submission.
Following the result, Diaz entered a three-month exclusive negotiation period with the UFC, which has officially run out now.
Jake Paul calls out Nate Diaz after free agency
Moments after the news of Diaz’s free agency came out, Jake Paul took to his Twitter to call out the Stockton native for a fight. He even claimed to have secured a venue and a bout agreement ready for Diaz.
“Hi Nate. Finally out of your UFC contract? Let’s see how tough you are in the boxing ring instead of hallway slap contests.@NateDiaz209. I have a venue booked. Offer is ready when you are. Just need you to sign.”

Paul has been calling for a fight with Diaz
‘The Problem Child’ has been rallying to compete against Diaz for the last few months. Before Diaz got booked against Ferguson, he was on the ice for over a year despite being fit and ready to go. Paul started his hunt to face Diaz in a boxing match and with the UFC veteran now free of any contractual obligations, Paul inches closer to the mega fight.
Jake Paul is coming off a hard-fought boxing match with mixed martial arts legend Anderson Silva last month. He scored the sole knockdown of the night en route to the biggest victory of his career by unanimous decision.
Diaz has expressed interest in the matchup in the past and a clash between Paul and him could not be written off.
