Isreal Adesanya is confident that Francis Ngannou has the ability to take a beating and take out his opponent at the same time. With that in mind, Izzy thinks his fellow African could finish Tyson Fury in their boxing match.

Francis has what it takes

Speaking with legendary boxing trainer Teddy Atlas on his YouTube channel, Adesanya pointed out that Ngannou proved that he could get the job done despite getting hurt when he finished Stipe Miocic in the UFC. Ultimately, the former UFC middleweight champ is suggesting that Fury is the best heavyweight boxer right now but “The Predator” could match his level.

“With him [Fury] announcing the Usyk fight in the middle of the promotion for this, I thought that was weird but he came out and said the promoters made that happen cause he doesn’t like to count his chickens when they hatch, but when he did that… I was like, ‘I don’t think he understands who he’s dealing with.’ Like, I’ve seen Francis with Stipe. Five rounds with Stipe Miocic, the first time. You’re taken out and beat up and when you’re getting punched on the ground, I’m talking Francis’s head is on the ground, a hammer fist boom. The force goes down, hits the ground and back up,” Adesanya raved.

“So there’s no give, anything like that, he took some shots and never got finished by Stipe who was, is arguably one of the greatest heavyweights ever,” he continued. “… He got up from the fight busted, he was gassed from the wrestling and stuff, he came back leaner, patient and then took his time to find it.”

Izzy believes in miracles

Experience-wise, Adesanya is well aware that Fury dwarfs Ngannou in boxing. However, “The Last Stylebender” insists that “miracles” happen and it’s not impossible with Ngannou’s abilities.

“This is Tyson’s world but if they underestimate Francis to the degree, I hope they’re not, but if they are, again, I’ve seen Francis, I’ve seen miracles happen. I know where my money is going,” Adesanya teased.

Fury vs. Ngannou is just hours away from taking place. Prior to the much-awaited heavyweight showdown, “The Gypsy King” notably said that he is not worried about Ngannou’s knockout power. On the other hand, “The Predator” is confident that he could prove people wrong by pulling off an upset win.
