  • Tyson Fury is confident about how he would handle Francis Ngannou knockout power
  • “The Predator” believes he has the ability to pull off an upset win over “The Gypsy King”

Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou had one of the most respectful yet feisty face-to-face interviews of all time. In it, “The Gypsy King” was asked about his thoughts on the former UFC heavyweight champion’s knockout power and as expected, Fury came up with an epic answer.

Fury is unbeaten for a reason

In a special pre-fight interview with Boxing on TNT Sports, Fury acknowledged the fact that Ngannou is without a doubt, a heavy-hitter. However, he also reminded everybody that he is undefeated for a reason and they will realize that come fight night.

“I don’t get concerned over a man’s ability because that’s his God-given talent. He is strong, he can punch hard and knock men out. That’s what he does. All of these guys can punch hard… If a heavyweight hit in your face, knockout. So it’s up to me not to let that happen,” Fury explained.

“If he lands a punch on me, great. If he doesn’t, then he doesn’t,” he pointed out. “My chin is not like a piece of paper. Like you just touch, and it falls over. You’ll find that I’m very tough and it’s the reason I’ve had 34 fights unbeaten in fifteen years.”

Ngannou is no stranger to being written off

On the other hand, “The Predator” insisted that the fight could go either way but ultimately, he is confident that he can beat the odds once again. According to Ngannou, this isn’t the first time that people thought he was gonna lose but in the end, he proved them all wrong.

“I really believe that everything is possible and let me tell you something, from where I came from, everything I have done, nobody believed in me,” Ngannou reflected. “If I wasn’t big and scary, even my family wouldn’t support me… because they thought I was losing my senses… But, I proved them wrong,” Ngannou said.

“Of course [I think I’ll win]. What do you think? If you talk about boxing, basically heavyweight boxing, he’s the man,” he added. “But I still have confidence in myself because in the past, in my life, I have always been the underdog and I always prevail when they didn’t expect me.”

Fury vs. Ngannou will take place on October 28 in Saudi Arabia. Fury’s world boxing titles would not be on the line but many are still looking forward to seeing how Ngannou would match up against “The Gypsy King.”

Regardless of what happens after his fight with Ngannou, Fury has already agreed to face Oleksandr Usyk for a unification title bout on December 23.
