  • Daniel Cormier presented a strong case why Francis Ngannou is still the Baddest Man on the Planet despite losing to Tyson Fury
  • DC thinks “The Gypsy King” or any boxer couldn’t compete with an MMA champion in an MMA fight

Daniel Cormier has appointed Francis Ngannou as “The Baddest Man on the Planet” despite losing to Tyson Fury via split decision. According to DC, the fact that “The Predator” gave “The Gypsy King” a run for his money in his own game should be enough as proof.

The MMA guy will always be the Baddest

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Cormier explained that what Ngannou did to Fury only goes to show that an MMA guy is the indeed the Baddest of them all at present. DC further back his claim by stressing that Fury could never do that to Ngannou if they ever fight in MMA.

“Francis Ngannou is the Baddest Man on the Planet. 100%. 1,000%. And we always call the heavyweight champ the baddest man on the planet and it’s usually the MMA guy that is the baddest man on the planet. That’s why when Tyson Fury started to call Jon Jones out and everything, I was saying how he could not beat Jon Jones in an actual fight. Francis Ngannou proved tonight that he is the baddest man on the planet. Why? Because he was the heavyweight champion of the UFC and tonight, he fought the lineal heavyweight champion of the world to a split decision. Tyson Fury could not fight Francis Ngannou in mix martial arts in the way that Francis fought Tyson in boxing. There’s no way a fight between any boxer and the UFC heavyweight champion in mixed martial arts goes to that type of decision,” Cormier stated.

“It was the most impressive performance I’ve ever seen for a guy outside of their realm of expertise,” he continued.

A controversial decision

Most MMA personalities were not pleased with the outcome of the Fury vs. Ngannou boxing match. The disappointment over the judges’ decision has ultimately led to the narrative that boxing is bias or even fake and that Ngannou has been robbed.

Fury vs. Ngannou was a non-title fight and the pair is now moving on. Ngannou is likely to return to MMA by making his PFL debut next year as Fury carries on by facing Oleksandr Usyk for a unification bout.
