Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship crowned the first-ever ‘King of Violence’ champion at BKFC 56 on Saturday night.

Stepping into the main event spotlight to prove themselves as the baddest men in bare-knuckle, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry once again stepped inside the squared circle with the hope of remaining undefeated. Standing in his way was former Bellator and UFC lightweight world champion Eddie Alvarez

Round 1

Alvarez immediately comes off the line with a big left hook. Perry fires back with a left. Alvarez rushes in and temporarily goes to the ground, but it’s ruled a sleep. Alvarez is mixing up his strikes well as Perry looks to establish his jab. Alvarez appears to be landing the more impactful strikes, including another big right hand that stumbles Perry. ‘Platinum’ fires back with an uppercut, but he’s not moving his head, allowing Alvarez to have an easy target. The round ends with Perry already sporting some damage.

Round 2

Alvarez again fires a left right off the scratch line and Perry decides to pick up the aggression, landing a solid left that busts open Alvarez. Perry goes on the attack as Alvarez hops on his bicycle and starts backing up. With a minute to go, Alvarez stands his ground and decides to trade in close. Perry snatches a half Thai plum and lands some solid shots in close. Alvarez clinches forcing the referee to step in and separate them. They stand in the center of the circle and trade shots through the end of the round.

Just before the start of the second round, Alvarez’s corner announced that they were throwing in the towel, bringing an end to the contest.

Official Result: Mike Perry def. Eddie Alvarez via TKO (retirement) at 2:00 or Round 2.
