Dakota Cochrane Put Johny Hendricks To Sleep At WBKFF!

Johny Hendricks Was Knocked Out By Brutal Right Hand Of Dakota Cochrane!

Johny Hendricks was initially set to fight Brennan Ward under World Bare-Knuckle Boxing Federation banner. Yet, “The Irish Bad Boy” was replaced by Dakota Cochrane on a short notice. The two faced on Saturday night in Casper, Wyoming.

Johny Hendricks was one of the most dangerous punchers in UFC Welterweight division. He demonstrated how strong his hands can be versus Jon Fitch at UFC 141 and Martin Kampmann at UFC 154. “Big Rigg” is still remembered for world-class left hook and left straight punch. He was also one of the best counterpunchers against right-handed fighters. The former UFC Welterweight champion was known for many unsuccessful weight cuts too.

But last night, Johny Hendricks didn’t look like himself at all. Dakota Cochrane was controlling the match and using his right hand like a pro. “Big Rigg” was knocked out in the second round.

Cochrane ducked under Hendricks’ right hand and delivered great weaving overhand right. Johny Hendricks looked like nothing happened and his opponent missed via left hook. But the next punch was the beginning of the end.

Dakota Cochrane landed another big right hand to Hendricks’ face. “Big Rigg” made a critical mistake when he tried to evade the opponent’s right hand by moving to the left. Johny was heavily rocked, and his rival continued raining punch after punch. The right uppercut to the head put the former UFC Welterweight champion to sleep. Take a look at the KO in the video below.

This is a good example of why you always need to keep your hands up. Johny Hendricks was blocking hooks and high kicks like a natural while he competed in the UFC. What happened to his left hand? Why didn’t he keep it higher? Never put your hands down. One brutal strike can completely change the outcome of the match!
