Bare-knuckle boxer Tomar Washington was ready to celebrate his win with a Jigsaw mask but everything went sideways after he realized he actually lost by disqualification at BKFC 35.
Washington started his career in professional mixed martial arts competitions in 2009. He made a name for himself competing in the regional circuit of the Carolina states under Carolina Fight Promotions. He racked up numerous wins and went on to participate in other leagues before retiring in 2019.
BKFC Fighter dons a jigsaw mask to celebrate before realizing he lost
This past Friday, Washington marked his return to action against Willie Sears in a bare-knuckle boxing match at BKFC 35: Cedeno vs. Slaveski at the John T. Rhodes Sports Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Washington went into the bout looking to make his splash with the gloves off inside the ring. He got off to a solid start and appeared to get the better of Sears. In round two, the pair were separating out of the clinch when Sears fell down to one knee, and Washington connected with a vicious right hand.
Since Sears had one knee on the canvas, he was regarded as a grounded opponent, making Washington’s strike illegal.

Washington’s celebrations were ruined
‘T-Bo’ Washington was under the impression the fight was stopped because of a knockout as opposed to the disqualification. He began celebrating and got a jigsaw mask, inspired by the horror cult classic film franchise Saw, on deck for the announcement. However, he was visibly disappointed when he found out that he would not get the chance to play jigsaw after a win. He took the mask off in protest and walked out of the ring.

BKFC has been gaining momentum over the last five years. They signed former UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy over a week ago after he got axed from the MMA promotion. He will make his debut against Josh Watson on Feb. 17.
