Conor McGregor is eagerly waiting for the day he gets into the UFC Hall of Fame.

The rise of Conor McGregor in the UFC was nothing short of phenomenal. McGregor made his way into the promotion after becoming the first European professional mixed martial artist to hold titles in two divisions simultaneously, a feat he achieved during his days in Cage Warriors. Beyond his success inside the octagon, the Irish superstar truly ascended the sport in ways unimaginable earlier.

Conor McGregor fires shots at Khabib’s Hall of Fame induction

Recently, Daniel Cormier was awarded the highest honors in the sport along with Khabib Nurmagomedov, who headlined the class of 2022. As a sponsor for the event, McGregor’s commercial of him walking with a Proper 12 whiskey aired on the broadcast right in front of Khabib delivering his acceptance speech.

Taking to his Twitter, ‘The Notorious’ expressed his excitement at being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Looking forward to my own hall of fame entry all the same, I’m a shoe in. First of everything. All the records. KO speed. Knockdown amount. KO’s most divisions. Financials. You name it. No rush tho I’m still in to bust noses open and put opps unconscious. A real goer.

He followed up with another Tweet uploading his version of Coolio’s song “Gangsta’s Paradise”.

Who was the levels and the flow l have. No one that’s who. The wall of no fame ya’s can call it until I bounce in and rock it. Coolio in the gaf they call me.

McGregor’s final tweet referenced the infamous brawl at UFC 229 when ‘The Eagle’ jumped the cage and a ruckus broke out.

“Bang of shite off them all. Stick that in the hall of fame.

McGregor’s meteoric rise to the top

Back in December 2015, McGregor made history when he dispatched Jose Aldo, who was unbeaten for over a decade, within 13 seconds of the opening round. McGregor recorded the fastest knockout in a title fight in the UFC to dethrone the long-time featherweight king.

Following his championship win, ‘The Notorious’ would compete against Nate Diaz on two occasions, both resulting in major PPV numbers. He doubled down on his ambitions next and moved up a weight class to challenge the former UFC lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez.

In what can only be described as a magical performance, McGregor knocked out Alvarez in the second round to become the first-ever ‘champ champ’ in the promotion.

Safe to say his induction into the UFC Hall of Fame is only a matter of time.
