Belal Muhammad believes Colby Covington will apologize when confronted for threatening UFC broadcaster Jon Anik.
This past weekend, Covington shocked the world when he stepped up for the weigh-ins for UFC 286 in London, England. He was revealed to be the backup fighter for the main event clash between former champion Kamaru Usman and reigning welterweight titleholder Leon Edwards. Since he had been away for about a year, there was debate about the validity of getting a title shot in his return.
Covington fired back at the critics and threatened Anik for backing Muhammad over him on the opportunity.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Belal Muhammad vowed to make Colby Covington apologize for threatening Jon Anik.
“It tells you how much of a joke he is,” said Muhammad. “This is the guy that literally pressed charges at Masvidal for beating him up outside the cage. The guy that called the cops on Werdum for hitting him with a boomerang, the guy that got beat up in the buffet line by Ali Abdelaziz. You’re not about that life. You’re fake. You can talk about that and now you’ve already dealt with the repercussions when you talk about a guy’s family.”
“I know he’ll never do that because he’s a joke, a coward, a sissy, but to even say that. For me if I’m Jon Anik, call the cops, say I feel threatened by this clown. Let me put a restraining order on him. He could literally terrorize his life and make it hard for him to do anything. I’m sure Colby will run at him with his tail between his legs and apologize.
“Colby’s not a man. He’s a coward.”
Muhammad defended Anik as a neutral force
‘Remember the Name’ doesn’t think Anik stepped out of line by stating his opinion and defended him as a neutral force in the game.
“Anik’s like the most neutral guy ever. Why? Because he said that I deserve the title fight. He’s just being honest. That’s how it should be with all these analysts. If you’re a true professional, call it like it is. Colby doesn’t deserve the title fight.”
“Give it to the guys that’s been putting in the work. The guys that have grinded, bled, and fought to get higher on this ladder like I have.”
“I want to make Colby apologize to him the same way that Khabib walked up to Artem. That’s what I’m going to do to him. I’m going to make him apologize to Jon Anik and he will do that because that’s what he is, a coward.”
UFC president Dana White indicated Muhammad would face rising sensation Shavkat Rakhmonov in his next bout but an official announcement has not yet been made.
