A very good video of Junior dos Santos holding a baby kangaroo

Remember that video of some dude punching the hell out of a kangaroo who was choking his dog? This Junior dos Santos video is the complete opposite of that.

The Big Friendly Junior dos Santos fights this weekend in Australia and we completely forgot about it. The only thing that reminded us of JDS is this new video of him holding an adorable baby kangaroo. That’s a joey and Junior making friends. This is amazing.

Just watch.

When we last saw dos Santos he was not holding a baby kangaroo wrapped in a blanket like a burrito, but instead his evil Russian twin was framing him. So we can all agree that was not dos Santos knocking out five different dudes with one punch in a Russian nightclub?

Okay good. We feel better now.

So our Brazilian animal lover fights this weekend in Australia versus rising prospect Tai Tuivasa. The 25-year-old Tai is best known for knocking out heavyweights then drinking beer out of a shoe; a shoey shot.

This fight on Saturday in Australian is set-up for Tai Tuivasa to win in his home country. The UFC wants the 34-year-old JDS to pass the torch to Tai. In sports age catches up with everyone, but more so in combat sports.

For his last nine fights dos Santos has alternated wins and losses. Yup, for the past six years JDS has won a fight and then lost his next fight. Every fight for the last few years feels like a must win for JDS. When JDS loses he loses badly at this stage of his career. Even when Junior wins its by decision and he hasn’t finished an opponent since May 2013; a span of six fights.

MMA math says JDS won his last fight, a five round decision to Blagoy Ivanov, so he’s due for a devastating loss this weekend. Win or lose at least we’ll always have this video of Junior dos Santos snuggling a furry joey.
