The UFC president has big plans for Khamzat Chimaev if beats Gilbert Burns this weekend.

Chimaev vs. Gilbert Burns is finally only a day away; however, the undefeated fighter could have his next fight already planned out.

Khamzat Chimaev vs. Colby Covington?

During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Dana White revealed his plans for Chimaev if he gets through Burns at UFC 273.

“If Khamzat Chimaev wins this weekend, I think we see him and Colby Covington next,” White revealed.

“So I have a fight coming up on ABC. In a perfect world, if everything plays out right, I would love to do Khamzat vs. Colby, if Khazmat should win on Saturday night.”

Chimaev vs. Covington on ABC???? What a fight. There have been two fights on ABC so far, Max Holloway brutalized Calvin Kattar on the first card, and then Marvin Vettori beat Kevin Holland on the second one. A fight between ‘Chaos’ and ‘Borz’ would be a perfect third card.

Earlier this week, during media day, Chimaev warned his boss that he would go to jail if he were matched up with Covington.

“Dana White will be in jail if they make that fight. [Covington] talks too much in the media, then when he sees face-to-face, then he goes to the cops. If I’m honest, UFC has to kick him out. He’s a bitch,” Chimaev said.

The trash talk between the two welterweights would be insane. However, this depends on whether he gets through the No. 2 welterweight in the UFC, Burns, which is no easy task.
