Respect. Despite the build-up to UFC 196 having no respect shown between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor, the aftermath of the main event showcased MMA’s brighter side. In modern MMA there is still a place for MMA’s warrior spirit and both Diaz and McGregor showed that on Saturday night.
After being choked out in the second round McGregor was at the lowest point of his career, while Diaz was riding a permanent victory high he had never felt before. Despite a beef months in the making, Diaz went up to console a fallen McGregor. He had every right not to but Diaz does what Diaz does. Both McGregor and Diaz got a post-fight head tap, high five, and embrace for putting one of best UFC pay per view main events of all-time. Respect.

Then Nate Diaz called Joe Rogan “Joseph” and it was the best thing ever. Never change Diaz.
