While most fight fans were focused on UFC Nashville and the entertaining 10-round scrap between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz, over the weekend, it was the Florida-based promotion Combat Night MMA that delivered one of the most confusing and downright deranged moments in the world of combat sports.

In the promotion’s main event matchup, undefeated standout Jeremy ‘The Inevitable’ Williams returned to the cage for a clash with 10th Planet product Latrell White. Williams ultimately came out on top via a split decision, but the real story is what happened before the bout. During a pre-fight face-off, Williams brandished a syringe with a strange green glowing liquid and proceeded to inject it directly into his neck.

As you probably guessed, this is not the first time Jeremy Williams has done something like this during a weigh-in ceremony.  Ahead of his fight with Bryan Arocho at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando last year, ‘The Inevitable’ extracted his own tooth with a pair of pliers.

So far, Williams’ extreme intimidation tactics have seemingly paid off, earning him a 4-0 record, including his decision victory over White to capture the promotion’s vacant featherweight title. You can watch the full fight below for free courtesy of Combat Night MMA’s YouTube channel.

“My goal is to inspire and motivate others through my journey as an MMA fighter,” Williams wrote on his official website. “I hope that you are one of those people who can see that with hard work, dedication, and a positive mindset, anything is possible.

“Whether you’re interested in pursuing MMA yourself or simply looking for inspiration in your own life, I want to show you that with passion and persistence, you can achieve your dreams and overcome any obstacles that come your way. So join me on this journey, and let’s inspire each other to be the best we can be!”
