Updates: Dana White Calls For Possible Conor Mcgregor Vs. Tony Ferguson Unification Bout

Well, last night Saturday’s event UFC 216 thrilled the Las Vegas with Headliner Tony Ferguson submitting Kevin Lee in the third round to inking the Interim Lightweight Champion title on his resume. It was such a great moment for Ferguson who accumulates ten straight wins in his kitty.

Rumors circulated widespread that Tony will battle undisputed champion Conor Mcgregor But ‘The Notorious” expressed his interest in a variety of potential opponents include meeting with Nate Diaz trilogy bout somewhere in the future.

After the UFC 216 post-fight interview, Dana took down any Diaz bout rumors and given his full side to Ferguson vs. Conor Potential match up.

“Nobody’s talked about Diaz. Diaz has never been talked about. That’s internet bullsh*t,” White said. “Tony’s the interim champion, Conor’s the champion, that’s the fight that makes sense. It’s the fight that has to happen, it doesn’t ‘make sense,’ it’s the fight that has to happen.”

Mcgregor lost his debut boxing in the tenth round TKO to superstar Floyd Mayweather, but his passion for arising back octagon is still there as well hinted sooner he will hit back to ring.

“Not yet. We didn’t specifically talk about it, but yeah we talked about it kinda,” White said of McGregor’s return. “He wants to fight again this year. He does want to fight again this year so he went and partied in Ibiza for a while, went back home for awhile, you gotta let him blow off some steam and then figure it out.”

Dana White believes the potential bout between Ferguson vs. Conor will be guaranteed makes a great fight.

“Tony’s a busy guy. He keeps coming forward, he keeps throwing all kinds of different things at ya. And Conor’s awesome. There’s no way that’s not a great fight. Impossible.”
