Kayla Harrison has signed with the UFC, and it didn’t take Cris Cyborg long to chime in.

UFC CEO Dana White dropped a bombshell when he announced that Harrison will be making her way to the UFC for a showdown with former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Harrison had great success under the PFL banner, winning championship gold and only losing once in her pro career.

Now, she will look to test the UFC ranks, but Cris Cyborg has something to say as well.

Following Dana’s announcement, Cyborg, who is a former UFC women’s featherweight champion, took to her X account to comment. She is lobbying for a rematch with the retired Amanda Nunes.

” Dana…I would love to add #CyborgNunes2 onto the @ufc 300 card too.”

Cyborg also offered to help train Holm for her showdown with Harrison.

“Let me know @HollyHolm if you need any training partners for Kayla Gump. I would love to visit New Mexico and @JacksonWinkMMA.”

Cyborg vs. Harrison might just be a pipedream at this point. The two had been hyping up a potential showdown through the media, and with the PFL’s acquisition of Bellator it appeared the fight was closer than ever. Instead, Harrison is now UFC-bound.

As for Cyborg, she isn’t likely to find a welcome back card from the UFC. In 2019, Dana White revealed that the UFC was no longer in the Cyborg business. During her renegotiation process, Cyborg’s team edited a video to make it seem like Dana said something he did not. This didn’t go over well with the UFC brass, who decided to pull out of any further discussions with Cyborg.

It’ll be interesting to see if Cyborg and the UFC can smooth things over, or if Cyborg decides to play ball with PFL.
