Well, UFC fans, you got your highly-anticipated announcement.

Former Champ Says Hello To The New King

The main event of UFC 300 was revealed in the aftermath of UFC 298 as UFC CEO Dana White broke the news that Alex Pereira will be defending his title against Jamahal Hill. The mega-event headlined by the light heavyweight title fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Apr. 13.

This will mark Pereira’s first title defense after he won the vacant title vs. Jiri Prochazka last November at UFC 295. ‘Poatan’ has been eyeing Hill for a while, as the two crossed paths at UFC 283 whenever Hill defeated his teammate Glover Teixeira right in front of him.

Pereira will face off with Hill once more, but this time for the title.

Former champion Hill is back after rupturing his Achilles, an injury that forced him to relinquish his title in July. With the road to recovery behind him, ‘Sweet Dreams’ will look to reclaim what was once his in spectacular fashion.

How UFC 300 Is Shaping Up

The UFC 300 main event announcement comes 55 days out from the event. Alex Pereira vs. Jamahal Hill joins two other title fights, Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan and Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway, a rare BMF title affair backed by a stacked undercard.

This is the full UFC 300 line-up so far, with the possibility of one more bout being added to top off the card.
