Jamahal Hill thinks he has the recipe to dethrone Alex Pereira and take back the UFC light heavyweight gold.

Hill was forced to vacate the 205-pound gold after suffering a ruptured Achilles. As a result, Pereira and Jiri Prochazka fought for the vacant light heavyweight hardware at UFC 295. Prochazka’s bid to become a two-time UFC light heavyweight champion failed, as Pereira finished him in the second round via TKO.

Jamahal Hill Predicts KO Win Over Alex Pereira

Jamahal Hill was in attendance inside Madison Square Garden in New York City to witness Alex Pereira laying claim to the 205-pound gold. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Hill shared his belief that Pereira’s speed will not be able to match his when they meet inside the Octagon.

“My assessment of the fight was, honestly, it was a good fight,” Hill said. “They don’t look bad, they just looked slow to me. They just don’t look like they can compete at the same speed, pace, and with the volume that I’m willing to bring in there that I bring whenever I come and fight, and the efficiency that I come with whenever I come in there to fight.”

During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Pereira called for another fight with his rival Israel Adesanya. Hill said that Adesanya isn’t even thinking about fighting. He also views Pereira’s comments as a sign that perhaps he’s underestimating him.

In the end, Hill wants to shock the world by knocking “Poatan” out.

“Whenever I do fight him standing, I will knock him out and when I do I’m going to rub it in every single one of y’all face,” Hill said. “I won’t rub it in Alex’s face ’cause Alex is a professional, but every single one of y’all that has talked, disrespected, and just straight up like ━ bro, it’s really crazy to me.”
