Alex Pereira Overpowers Jiri Prochazka For TKO Victory, Wins Second Title – UFC 295 Results (Highlights)

Brazil’s Alex Pereira meets the Czech Republic’s Jiri Prochazka in the main event of UFC 295.

‘Poatan’ goes for gold in a second weight division while Prochazka looks to recapture light heavyweight gold, the title that was once his. The pay-per-view headliner happens inside the historic Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

Round 1:

Prochazka and Pereira trade leg kicks to begin the fight. Prochazka goes for a huge uppercut that doesn’t land. Pereira fires a brutal leg kick at Prochazka. Prochazka eats another big leg kick from Pereira. Pereira lands the jab. Prochazka attempts to take Pereira down after enduring another leg kick. Pereira goes for a guillotine on Prochazka (which doesn’t work).

‘Denisa’ picks up Pereira and takes him down to the ground. With a minute to go in the round, Prochazka lands elbows from top position. With his back against the cage, Pereira works his way up to his feet.

Round 2:

Prochazka presses forward against Pereira. Prochazka mixes in his kicks, attacking to the body and the legs. Pereira lands a jab and then follows it up with a body kick. Prochazka swings with big looping punches. Prochazka unleashes on Pereira with strikes up against the cage. 

Pereira goes back to his leg kicks. Prochazka controls Pereira in the clinch for a moment before they break. Prochazka tags Pereira, but Pereira stands his ground, downing Prochazka with a combo of punches. Prochazka goes for the legs while Pereira attempts to finish him off with shots to the side of his head. Pereira goes backwards and the referee stops the fight.
