UFC fans, sit down—we’ve got something to tell you about Stefan Struve.
‘Good news? He didn’t lose his UFC 175 heavyweight fight with Matt Mitrione. ‘Bad, awful, terrible-as-Hell news? According to SportsCenter and media on-site, Struve just collapsed backstage due to heart complications.
For those who don’t know, this was supposed to be Struve’s first fight back in the UFC since 2013, where he lost to Mark Hunt in an amazing battle.
With this turn of events, though, Struve’s UFC career may be over. It’s probably over. Shit, it’s definitely over. Aside from problems due to his enlarged heart, Struve’s taken a ridiculous amount of punishment in 33 MMA fights to date. He’s just 26 years old, man.
