Today seems like a good day to announce our 2010 MiddleEasy Reader Comment Awards

If you’re addicted to MiddleEasy, don’t worry, it’s cool. Your little league coach told you that quitters never win. Rehab is for quitters. This year, I’ve read hundreds of your comments and for the most part, was utterly shocked that most of you out there fully understand the term ‘frate trane’. A lot of you don’t, however, and I will continue to receive emails proclaiming that I’ve misspelled ‘freight train’. You may not have an ‘ate’ key on your keyboard, but I do and often use it in reference to Shane Carwin, Brock Lesnar, Alistair Overeem and occasionally Sarah Kaufman. For those of you who have commentated on the potpourri of articles on MiddleEasy this year, you’re in luck.

The 2010 MiddleEasy Reader Comment Awards will happen December 27th 2010 and a total of fifteen trophies will be awarded. We’re not going to release the categories at this moment to prevent any of you from ‘schticking it up’ just to get a prize, but we have already started the process of culling through over 1,000 comments to find the ones that immediately force up to put our ‘Wow!’, ‘WTF?’ or ‘Are you serious?’ face on. Runner-ups will also be included in our first award show.

The prizes and trophies have not yet been determined, however winning a 2010 MiddleEasy Reader Comment Award is a high honor in some Eastern European countries (and in Xenia, Ohio). Along with receiving an actual trophy, winners will most likely receive a prize package from one (if not all) of our corporate buds across the MMA industry. The only thing you have to do is continue to comment on articles on MiddleEasy. That’s it. Be yourself, we already love you for you. Now try to get your stepfather to say the same.
