If Khamzat Chimaev isn’t having crazy altercations with other fighters, he’s probably hanging out with his dude Darren Till.
‘The Smesh Bros’ have been crushing it in Las Vegas for UFC 279 fight week. On Thursday, Chimaev would have a backstage conflict with Kevin Holland and a whopping amount of Nate Diaz’s team which ended up canceling the scheduled press conference. Till would later talk trash to Holland and well, let’s say things got more interesting for them during dinnertime.
Till vs. Child
Notorious UFC super-fans ‘Steve & Toast’ would find Till, Chimaev and team eating at a restaurant. The father-son duo made quite the impression to their beloved Chimaev, waving a flag displaying ‘smesh time’ and Chimaev’s face in the middle. If that wasn’t enough to suggest they were ‘Borz’ fans, they also repped a Swedish flag and a fake Chimaev beard.
In the encounter, the dad claimed his son had called Till ‘fat’ by saying he had a 3XL shirt for the Liverpool fighter. What ensued after was nothing but hilarious.
“Did you just call me fat?” Till said with a laugh. “You cheeky little bastard.”
The dad gave Till permission to whoop his son’s ass, with ‘The Gorilla’ jokingly attempting to take down the child right in front of everybody in the restaurant.
It turns out the kid wasn’t too bad at wrestling, who tried to judo sweep Till while he had his back taken.
“He’s got the sweeps!” Till laughed. “Khamzat, give me some help brother!”
Chimaev Reacts
Chimaev was impressed by the kid’s ‘wrestling clinic’ with his teammate Till. The top contender would hand the kid a gift for his effort. A limited edition one at that.
“This bandana’s for you brother,” Chimaev handed the kid a designed bandana of his. “Now you’re one of us, yeah? Now we’re going to smash the world, brother.”
Chimaev takes on Nate Diaz in the main of UFC 279 this weekend. One thing is for sure, his two biggest fans will be there… oh, and Darren Till of course.
