I’m still trying to devise a method to give away these wall-sized Shine Fights: Mayorga vs. Thomas posters in a reasonable way. These things are memorabilia of something that never was, sort of like Mandy Moore‘s acting career. Let’s face it, when you’re rumored to be with Dana White and Georges St. Pierre within the course of one month, there has to be some acting at some point in that timeline. Mandy Moore has nothing to do with Shine Fights, she probably doesn’t even know who Din Thomas is (and that should make you feel better about yourself).
Last weekend, Don King just defined what a ‘Raw Power Move’ was by walking into a court room with two duffel bags filled to the brim with one million dollars in order to prevent Shine Fights from going down. We don’t really know who’s at fault in the debacle, Don King for waiting for the last minute to cancel the show or Shine Fights for completely ignoring King’s legal threats. Although Shine Fights claims they will regroup and continue to promote more MMA fights in the future, there are still those out there that have beef with Shine Fights and it’s mostly the fans who shelled out the cash to see an event that never was.
