The MMA Gods have truly blessed us with the RIZIN Fighting World Grand Prix 2017: Final Round. In their infinite wisdom, they chose to resurrect the soul of The Fireball Kid.

For all too brief moments, time slipped backward and Takanori Gomi was in Pride, finishing  Hayato Sakurai .

Unfortunately, the MMA Gods are cruel and Yusuke Yachi was game as hell. He starts the fight by kneeing Gomi in the head about ten times. The ensuing back and forth exchanges were the essence of what peak Gomi was. It’s easily a contender for round of the year.
