Tai Tuivasa Isn’t Too Happy That He Didn’t Get Bonus After UFC 221 Win

Tai Tuivasa, an unbeaten heavyweight contender, scores a solid victory in his hometown, stopped Cyril Asker with a series of hard elbows and punches at UFC 221 on (Feb. 10, 2018), which took place live on pay-per-view (PPV) in Perth, Australia.

After the fight, he celebrated the victory by doing the most Australian thing one can do drinking beer out of a stranger’s shoe.

Apparently, Tai Tuivasa wasn’t too happy that he didn’t get one of the four $50,000 Fight Night bonuses awarded in Perth, Australia. In fact, he believes chugging a beer from a shoe should’ve earned him a bonus.

“What more do they want us to do?” Tuivasa told MMAFighting.com at the UFC 221 post-fight press conference. “I should’ve gotten 50K just for the shoey.”

Brothers-in-law Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa and Tyson Pedro are crying foul after they missed out on bonuses during UFC 221 at Perth Arena. Pedro also scores a stunning kimura submission to defeat Russian Saparbek Safarov in their light heavyweight bout.

“I think we both should’ve gotten Performance of the Night and I think everyone else thought we should’ve gotten Performance of the Night,” Tuivasa explained. “He (Tyson Pedro) almost ripped somebody’s arm off, and I like elbowed (Cyril Asker) back to France and f*cking nothing. Now I have to go home and cry all night.”

Do you guys think Tai Tuivasa should get the bonus?
