Let the record show that Sean Strickland doesn’t hold back when it comes to Israel Adesanya.

Well, the #6 middleweight contender isn’t one to hold his tongue on anything, much less the champion of the division, who Strickland was rumored to fight at UFC 293. Time is winding down for the Sydney, Australia event which still does not have a main event locked in.

Adesanya has eyed Strickland as his next challenger after Dricus Du Plessis’ opted out of a quick turnaround next month. However, Adesanya vs. Strickland has yet to be confirmed.

Another Day, Another Rant

In one hand, the controversial contender continues his campaign for his first title fight and in the other hand, Strickland throws out jabs at ‘The Last Stylebender’.

“That little Chinese slut, we’re trying to make it happen,” Strickland told The Schmo. “I’m trying to represent for America. I’m trying to represent for Australia, cause I’ll tell you what: Australians, I am more Australian than f*cking Izzy. Izzy is a Chinese man. I ride motorcycles, I sail boats. I like sex with hot women, Izzy likes sex with dudes. Nothing wrong with that, Izzy. It’s personal preference.

“But I am American, but I’m like crocodile motherf*cking Dundee. You guys, I carry guns on me. I carry knives. I consider myself an honorary Australian. I mean, I’m a little bit more in the Freedom Department. I like freedom. You guys a little questionable there, but, but I would like to say that I’m more of an Australian than the Chinese man, Izzy… Put a shrimp on the Barbie and let’s have a party. Because I think I am pretty much an honorary Australian.”

Fun fact: Adesanya moved from Nigeria to New Zealand, NOT Australia. Although, Strickland believes otherwise.

‘Getting The Fight Is The Hard Part’

While Strickland has said in the past that the promotion doesn’t want to book him against Adesanya, the UFC veteran is still focused on making the fight a reality.

“We are working it,” Strickland said of the potential fight at UFC 293. “We’re trying, I’m trying to do it for you guys. We’re trying to make it happen for you guys And then once the fight happens, all I gotta do is fight Izzy— that’s the easy part, right? Getting the fight is the hard part. Winning the fight is the easy part.”

Strickland To Unlock His Inner ‘Kelvin Gastelum’

After talking a big game, Strickland admits he hasn’t looked too much into Adesanya. Regardless of the fight tape, Strickland is confident he’ll get the job done, some way or another.

“I’ve actually never really watched an Izzy fight,” Strickland explained. “I’ve watched clips of it, but I don’t know… I did watch one fight of his. I fought him. I watched him fight. Kelvin Gastelum has a lot of CTE. Kelvin Gastelum will die in the ring and not Kelvin. I applaud you for that. So I need to embrace my inner inner Kelvin Gastelum, my inner special needs self. Kelvin’s like a pitbull— I’ll say my inner pitbull. And I need to fight like Kelvin. I need to go dick to dick, nose to nose. And I need to have a war.

“Maybe we take down, maybe we don’t,” Strickland added. “I need to be a little bit more on the aggressive side. You know, there’s sometimes where I’m out there doing my [ICarly stance]. I need to be a little bit tighter, a little bit more up in the pocket. We’re gonna make magic happen.”
