ONE Championship stalwart Stamp Fairtex pulled off a sensation performance at ONE Fight Night 14 to cop the atomweight title. Fairtex TKO’d South Korea’s Seo Hee Ham en route to her crowning moment.

Huge body shot got the job done

Fairtex came in looking to make the most of the opportunity to snag the vacant atomweight title left by Angela Lee when she retired following her sister’s untimely passing. True to form, Fairtex managed to punch her way to victory in less the n three rounds.

As expected. Hee Ham and Fairtex started out gauging each other in the opening round. Fairtex kicked her performance up a notch in the second, while Hee Ham began the third round with amplified aggressiveness. However, Fairtex was able to land a quick body shot in one of their exchanges which instantly folded Hee Ham.

With Hee Ham wincing in pain, Fairtex went on to inflict more damage until the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Fairtex was then declared the winner via TKO.

A triple C

The triumphant win saw Fairtex becoming a three-sport champ in combat sports, having won a Muay Thai and a kickboxing title to her name in the past. The Thai MMA star will now be waiting for her first title challenger.

Fairtex now has a professional MMA record of 11-2. Seven of her victories came by finishes, five via KO/TKO and two via submission.
