ONE Championship just had their biggest event go down this weekend.

ONE X delivered, with 10 hours of constant action from Singapore. The 10th anniversary event featured multiple champions fighting all over the card such as Angela Lee, Adriano Moraes and Reinier de Ridder just to name a few . It also showcased combat sports superstars such as Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jitmuangnon going at it.

Lee vs. Fairtex

In the main event, champ Angela Lee would successfully defend her atomweight title against Grand Prix champ Stamp Fairtex. It would take a few submission attempts, but they would eventually pay off.

Lee would stop Fairtex in the second round, sinking a rear-naked choke right before the bell. ONE’s first-ever ‘mom champ’ had defended her title.

Johnson vs. Rodtang

In the co-headliner, Demetrious Johnson would return. However, it wasn’t an ordinary MMA bout for the former UFC Champion. Instead, it was a special-rules bout against muay thai legend Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

The first round would be under Muay Thai rules. This of course, would be in favor of Rodtang, who tried his best to get DJ out of there. Rodtang would unleash an constant onslaught of strikes on Johnson. Kick after kick, punch after punch. But ‘Mighty Mouse’ was surprisingly able to stand his ground against the striking specialist.

Johnson would utilize the clinch and even land a couple hard blows of his own in the opening round. After minutes of Muay Thai, DJ would end up surviving the opening round. On to round 2, Rodtang would be in Johnson’s world and it wasn’t even competitive.

‘Mighty Mouse’ would take his time closing the distance on Rodtang. Johnson would eventually get the takedown, getting the back of Rodtang with ease. After securing the position, Rodtang would fight the hands of Johnson, who was trying to lock in a rear-naked choke.

Rodtang defended his first attempt, pulling the hands down, but he was just fighting the inevitable. Johnson would get another squeeze on Rodtang, with the Muay Thai star refusing to tap. Within seconds, Rodtang was put to sleep and the referee stopped the action.

Demetrious Johnson had successfully bounced back from his loss to Adriano Moraes, who also defended his title prior in the night.
