Nothing like a good ol’ bet.
Israel Adesanya or Alexander Volkanovski will be doing a ‘shoey’ after UFC 276 this weekend. While the middleweight and featherweight UFC champions broke down UFC 276 and gave their picks on Adesanya’s Youtube channel this weekend, a particular fight got them to make a bet.
The bet
UFC legend Robbie Lawler and Bryan Barberena throw down in what will probably be Fight of the Night, and the fighters who will co-headline and headline the care made a bet.
Adesanya went with Barberena, “I’m going to go Barbarena because of that last fight and he showed me something I have never seen before because I never knew who he was. Based on Robbie…Fu*k. I”ll go Baberena.”
With the middleweight going with Barberena, Volkanovski is obviously picking Lawler.
The loser has to do a ‘shoey’ out of the winner’s shoe. If you don’t know what a ‘shoey’ is, UFC heavyweight contender Tai Tuivasa made it very popular. Basically, you take someone’s shoe, pour a can of beer into it (sometimes spit into the shoe) and then drink out of it.
Maybe the best man win.
