  • Sean O’Malley said he’ll fly to Las Vegas to see if he could find out what is really going on with Aljamain Sterling’s injury and talked-about fight with Henry Cejudo
  • “Sugar” previously admitted that he also wants to face “Triple C”

Sean O’Malley confirmed that he’s flying to Las Vegas to talk things over with the UFC about his contract. While in there, “Sugar” said he’ll also try and see what is really up with Aljamain Sterling’s injury and upcoming fight.

Sean wants to find out what’s really going on

Speaking on TimboSugaShow, O’Malley revealed that he will get to the bottom of the looming Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo fight. More importantly, he will try to get some “inside scoop” about the real status of Aljo’s bicep injury as he suspects the reigning bantamweight champion is just making up excuses.

“[I’m] flying to Vegas Tuesday, sitting down with Hunter [Campbell], renegotiate my contract, and hopefully get some inside scoop. I’ll ask him and say ‘Hey, am I allowed to talk about this, if not I won’t, but if I am able to get some inside scoop, I’ll be able to come out and f*cking tell the people what the f*ck is really going on,” O’Malley said.

“I wonder if he’s using that to kind of just be able to chill [and say] ‘I’m injured, I’m injured’ and everyone’s be like, ‘Oh, well you can’t expect him to fight.’ C*cksucker!,” he added of Sterling.

Sugar also wants Triple C

O’Malley remains confident about fighting for the title sooner rather than later. But at the same time, “Sugar” is also certain that a fight with Cejudo “would’ve been perfect.” Nothing is concrete yet at the moment, but the Sterling vs. Cejudo title fight has been a hot subject of discussion.

It was previously reported that the fight will co-headline UFC 287 but it was later revealed that the co-main event is now the welterweight showdown between Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns.

As for O’Malley, he is sitting steady as the No. 1 bantamweight contender, having beaten Petr Yan via a narrow decision win at UFC 280.
