Sean Brady is picking Khamzat Chimaev to “run through” Nate Diaz at UFC 279.
Sean Brady Picks Khamzat Chimaev Over Nate Diaz
Brady was recently interviewed by The Schmo, where they discussed a variety of topics on the welterweight division.
One of those topics being the upcoming matchup between Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev.
Diaz and Chimaev will headline the upcoming UFC 279 pay-per-view (PPV) event on September 10.
It will be the final fight on Diaz’s contract, who looks to exit the UFC once his contractual obligations are through.
When asked for his pick in the fight, Brady admits he believes Chimaev will “run through” Diaz.
“I think Khamzat is gonna run through him honestly,” Brady said. “It sucks to say that. I love Nate but yeah it’s got to happen, they’ve been trying to do this. And I think Nate just wants out so, he’ll fight anybody to get out of his contract and he’s going to get his wish.”
Brady himself is one of the top prospects at 170 pounds. He’s currently the No. 9-ranked welterweight in the UFC.
He’s undefeated in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition with a record of 15-0, winning all five of his fights under the UFC’s banner.
It’s very likely that, with a few more wins under his belt, Brady is challenging for a UFC title soon.
He’s currently slated to take on Belal Muhammad on October 22 at UFC 280 on PPV in Abu Dhabi.
