Middleweight Absolute Championship Akhmat fighter, Beslan Ushukov made headlines before Christmas after pulling off a vicious spinning wheel kick at ACA 150 in Russia. Fans in attendance at the CSKA Arena in Moscow were in awe when Ushukov’s opponent, Irwing Romero Machado fell down face-first to the mat.

What a kick

Ushukov vs. Machado was only an undercard match in the said event, but the pair got the fans and the internet buzzing about their thrilling fight. Both fighters had a good opening round but things took a wild turn when Ushukov abruptly went for a perfectly done spinning wheel kick that landed hard at the back of Machado’s head.

The Brazilian quickly got knocked out and the refereed signaled to stop the fight right away at the 1:16 mark of the second round.

A nice streak

Ushukov was then declared winner via KO to improve his pro-MMA record to 19-5. He previously defeated Vadim Shabadash via unanimous decision at ACA 118 in February 2021. On the other hand, Machado has now suffered his fourth consecutive defeat at ACA. His record is now 17-11.

The victory saw the 31-year-old earning a well-deserved Performance of the Night bonus from ACA. Ushukov.

All told, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Ushukov gets slated for the main card bout at ACA next as he has proven that he has what it takes to put on a show inside the cage.
