Luke Rockhold might be down, but he isn’t out.

The former UFC Middleweight Champion stepped into the BKFC ring for the first time when he took on Mike Perry. Unfortunately for Rockhold, ‘Platinum’ proved to be too much as it took only a few minutes to get his hand raised.

‘Some Crazy Sh*t’

Rockhold ultimately quit early on into round 2 after suffering nasty blows to the mouth, resulting in chipped teeth. Rockhold wore the battle damage in a video recorded just a day after.

“Well f*ck, what can I say?” Rockhold said in an Instagram video. “You can check bare-knuckle off the list. Some crazy sh*t. Those little knuckles got me square on the front two [teeth]. Maybe a beard, maybe a better mouthpiece [would have protected me].”

Respect

Despite months of bad blood between the two fighters, Rockhold gave Perry his props for the win.

“It was a good fight. It’s a shame it had to end that way. Motherf*cker Mike, you tough bastard. Congrats.

Bare-Knuckle No More

Rockhold may be written off by many after this TKO loss in BKFC, which follows 3 MMA defeats. However, the former champ isn’t done just yet as he seeks redemption in another combat sport… preferably one that has gloves.

“Thanks to my sponsors, thanks to the people. I’m not done. Some gloves would be nice, though.”
