Renato Moicano isn’t exactly jumping for joy over the UFC 300 lineup.

UFC matchmakers have been working on stacking the card, which is without a main event at this time. Dana White says there are a few options he’s working with for the event’s headliner, but if there’s others who agree with Moicano, then he’ll need something big to satisfy expectations.

There have been two title fights announced for the card, with one of them being for the symbolic BMF hardware. Some matches have certainly caught the attention of fight fans such as Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan. While Moicano likes that matchup and others, he’s still left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Renato Moicano Not Exactly Sold On UFC 300 Card

During an appearance on “The MMA Hour,” Renato Moicano shared his brief assessment of the UFC 300 fight card as it stands now.

“For me, I will be honest as a fan, and as a YouTuber, UFC 300 is not that great,” Moicano said. “For me, the only fight that I’m in is Justin Gaethje-Max Holloway, Calvin Kattar and [Aljamain] Sterling, Charles [Oliveira] and [Arman] Tsarukyan, Bobby Green-Jim Miller, for me personally.”

Tough crowd.

A UFC welterweight championship fight between titleholder Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad has been heavily rumored for the event. Whether or not that would be enough to change Moicano’s opinion remains to be seen. For now, he sees UFC 300 as being a good card, but not one worthy of the occasion.

If UFC 300 can nail the main event, it could very well live up to expectations. UFC CEO Dana White has already dismissed household names such as Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey as potential options for the show. UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre also ruled out the possibility of returning to pro MMA competition, focusing more on grappling when he’s ready.
