Twitter React To UFC Singapore Main event
Demian Maia scored a third win in a row when he choked out Ben Askren via third-round submission in the main headliner of UFC Fight Night 162 earlier today (Sat., Oct. 26, 2019) live on ESPN+ from inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
Considering the background of the grappling of both fighters, Maia and Askren fought the majority of the fight on feet.
Both men exchanged some jabs early on, and Askren played some dirty boxing while Maia hurled punches from range. ‘Funky’ mix in with some takedowns, but Demain was successful in defending and locked in a tight rear-naked choke with one arm. Askren tapped out at last.
