A certain collision course could be in the cards for UFC 300.
The top MMA promotion promises an event for the ages on Apr. 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada to commemorate what has been a successful run in the sport since its dawn in 1993. Several stellar fights have already been put together including former champ Aljamain Sterling’s move up to featherweight against Calvin Kattar.
Diaz Throws His Name In The Hat To Fill Spot At Landmark Event
Of course, there are many fights left to book and the UFC has to pick and choose which of its stars will make the final lineup for the historic fight card. Their job might be a bit easier than expected as UFC legend Nate Diaz is willing to step into the Octagon again at UFC 300 after a one-off boxing match with Jake Paul.
While a Diaz return would do massive ratings for the company, the Stockton slugger acknowledges it takes two to tango.
“UFC 300 would be tight but there’s nobody to fight,” Diaz wrote on X.

A Longtime Rival Wants In On The Action
It wouldn’t take long for fellow UFC superstar Dustin Poirier to flag down Diaz for a potential fight, using his own lines against him in hopes of a five-round fight.

In a blast to the past, the former UFC interim champion was supposed to square off with Diaz at UFC 230 back in November 2018. But, Poirier would ultimately withdraw from their scrap due to a hip injury.
Diaz downplayed ‘The Diamond’ for pulling out of their fight and there’s been no love lost between the two ever since.
Perhaps, the time is now to finally re-book this grudge match that’s been more than five years in the making. What better card to put it on than at UFC 300?
