UFC CEO Dana White has announced several new fights on Thursday night.
White took to his social media account to reveal some key fights for the first quarter of 2024, as well as announcing three fights for UFC 300.
Fight announcements:
Feb 17th, #UFC298
Feb 24th, #UFCMexico
March 30th, #UFCAtlanticCity
April 13th, #UFC300 pic.twitter.com/vcJYI3rekl— danawhite (@danawhite) December 22, 2023
The first card that Dana White announced fights for was UFC 298 on Feb. 17 which is set to go down in Anaheim and will be headlined by Alexander Volkanovski vs Ilia Topuria.
White announced that Robert Whittaker will take on Paulo Costa in a fight that was supposed to happen last February, but Costa had a contract dispute with the UFC. Along with that middleweight fight, Geoff Neal vs. Ian Machado Garry will take place on UFC 298 as opposed to UFC 299 which was originally the plan.
The next card Dana White announced was UFC Mexico City on Feb. 24. White confirmed that Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi would be the main event, but the co-main will also be a five-round bout between Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez.
Ortega and Rodriguez fought in July of 2022 when ‘T-City’ suffered a shoulder injury in the first round. That is also the last time Ortega fought, while Rodriguez has fought twice since then going 1-1 with a submission win over Josh Emmett to win the interim belt and was stopped by Volkanovski for the undisputed title.
Next, Dana White announced one fight for UFC Atlantic City on March 30 as New Jersey’s Erin Blanchfield will take on Manon Fiorot in what is likely a number one contender bout. Currently, flyweight champ Alexa Grasso does not have her next fight booked, and perhaps the winner of this one will get the title shot.

Finally, Bo Nickal is set to return to the octagon against Cody Brundage, White revealed.
