The PFL is packing some heat in this new year.
PFL vs. Bellator
Following their purchase of competitor Bellator MMA in November, the Professional Fighter’s League is setting up a cross-promotional event for Feb. 24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The top promotion will pit their champions against Bellator’s on a super-card of sorts.
Multiple fights have been confirmed for the PFL vs. Bellator event so far, with nine being reported by Ariel Helwani on Tuesday. Four of these will feature PFL Champions taking on Bellator Champions for cross-promotional bragging rights:
PFL Heavyweight Champion Renan Ferreira vs. Bellator Heavyweight Champ Ryan Bader
PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Impa Kasanganay vs. PFL Middleweight Champion Johnny Eblen (middleweight bout)
PFL Featherweight Champion Jesus Pinedo vs. Bellator Featherweight Champion Patricio Pitbull
PFL Welterweight Champion Magomed Magomedkerimov vs. Bellator Welterweight Champion Jason Jackson
That might be all for the champ vs. champ fights, but you’ve seen nothing yet.
