In the PFL vs. Bellator main event, 2023 Heavyweight Tournament winner Renan Ferreira met reigning Bellator MMA heavyweight king, Ryan Bader.
With both fighters vying for an opportunity to headliner a future PFL event against former UFC heavyweight world champion Francis Ngannou, both fighters brought their A-game inside the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Round 1
It took Renan Ferreira less than 30 seconds to run through Ryan Bader. ‘Darth’ moved in and quickly ate a nasty right hand that sent him crashing to the canvas. Ferreira swarmed his downed opponent and unleashed a flurry of strikes, forcing the referee to step in and call for the stoppage in the opening minute.
Ferreira will now move on to face Francis Ngannou when the former UFC heavyweight champion makes his promotional debut later this year.
Official Result: Renan Ferreira def. Ryan Bader via TKO (right hand to ground and pound) at 0:21 of Round 1.
