Pearl Gonzalez shows up rocking some kind of Matrix/Rihanna look. Which was a wild change from the last time we saw her:
Add to that the awesomeness of the 180 degree change of these two, going from respectful professionals to bloodthirsty killers, and this is the type of face off that checks off all the boxes.
Of course, Pearl Gonzalez is rebounding from a disappointing turn in the UFC. She took a unanimous decision as a slight underdog in her Invicta FC debut in March to begin her trek back to the elite at 115 pounds. Brazil’s Acioly (rocking a mermaid look?) is coming off two losses herself, but clearly wanted to show that she’s not here to lay down for Gonzalez.
My interest level in this fight has gone from zero to ten in the span of this GIF.

Shout out to Cynthia Vance, photographer extraordinaire, for shutting this scuffle down before it got crazy. That’s a strong arm move. She even had to flag in TJ De Santis to help control Gonzalez, but Sherdog Radio really half-assed his duties as enforcer. Disappointed in you, TJ.
