Things just got a little more interesting in Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz.

Ex-UFC superstar Diaz is scheduled to make his pro boxing debut against ‘The Problem Child’ on August 5th in Dallas, Texas. While the fight is signed, sealed and delivered for this date, there is a few changes the fighters have pushed for such as Diaz wanting to move the contest out of Texas because of its anti-marijuana regulations.

Unfortunately for the ‘420-friendly’ Diaz, the fight is here to stay in ‘The Lone Star State’ but perhaps he’ll benefit from the latest update in the rules.

It’s Actually Happening

Earlier this month, Diaz and Paul reportedly agreed to have their 8-round bout moved to 10 rounds instead (with Diaz later joking he’s okay with 8). It turns out that 10 rounds is now a reality, Paul revealed on Tuesday.

“10 rounds confirmed. #PaulDiaz August 5th,” Paul announced on Twitter.

Paul On Going 10 Rounds Instead Of 8

Paul would follow up on his decision to go 10 rounds with Diaz, who has been known to be a ‘marathon man’ throughout his career inside the Octagon.

“10 rounds. If the fight goes to the later rounds, it’s obviously a big advantage for Nate,” Paul explained. “I know that, he knows that (that’s why he made the request), the oddsmakers know that. But I don’t give a f*ck. I’m all in.”

We’ll see if Jake Paul’s 10-round gamble will pay off when he meets Stockton’s Nate Diaz on August 5th.
